ONGOING EVENTS

BSF - Bible Study Fellowship
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is our Sunday morning Bible Study Experience. During this time our students get sound Bible teaching that will help them to know who God is and what His word says. We meet on the second floor behind the sanctuary at 9:00 am. Then we all go to the Worship Service at 10:15 am to worship with our church family.

Crash
CRASH is the new name for our Wednesday Night Youth Bible study. A Crash is a herd of Rhinos. The herd will run full speed straight ahead even though they can only see 30 feet in front of them. That is what we want your students to do, we want them to go full speed through life not knowing what is ahead of them but trusting that God has got the way paved out in front of them. Crash will meet every Wednesday 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.  If we are going to cancel Crash, we will post it on our website. So if you have a doubt, you can check there or call the church.

Doulos (doo-las) is the student ministry leadership team at South Lindsay Baptist Church. The theme verses of Doulos are Matthew 23:11-12:

“The greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”  - HCSB

These verses tell us two things about the students that choose to be a part of Doulos. Foremost, verse 11 says that they will be servants. In order to be great you must first be a servant. Doulos is Greek for bond-servant. A bond-servant is a person obligated to serve others without wages. Members of Doulos will serve others without getting much worldly gain. There are some perks to being in Doulos but they will not be enough reward for the work you will put into it. Being in Doulos does not make you better than anyone else. In fact, taking on the servant leader position means that you are putting others before yourself (Mark 9:35). Part of being a servant is being humble.

As a part of Doulos you will learn many things. Some of the things that you will learn from being a part of Doulos are:

      1.   What being a servant leader looks like
2.   How to be a true disciple of Christ
3.   What it looks like to be a part of the Body of Christ
4.   What it looks like to be a part of a family
5.   How to plan effective activities for the student
      ministry
6.   To help plan activities for the Church
